Independent Leadership. Practical Solutions. Real Community Voice.
Meet Troy
I have served our community for 27 years, and my commitment runs deep through years of leadership and volunteer service with block clubs, park advisory councils, chambers of commerce, and on the front lines advocating for the interests of residents throughout the 48th Ward.
My commitment to public service extends beyond our neighborhood. As a Labor Market Economist with the Illinois Department of Employment Security, I have spent decades working alongside dedicated colleagues to expand equitable access to employment, education, housing, and community resources. I have used data and research to inform state leaders and collaborated with city, state, and federal agencies, as well as elected officials across multiple administrations. This experience taught me how government operates, how consensus is built, and how to deliver tangible results for the people of Illinois.
On a personal note, our family motto was Bloom Where You Are Planted. Growing up and traveling the world through my family's military and Department of Defense service, I learned how important it is to connect to the community. These global experiences broadened my perspective, deepened my understanding of different cultures, customs, and traditions, and instilled a lasting appreciation for the diversity that makes our 48th Ward strong, vibrant, and welcoming.
As your Alder, my commitment to you:
The 48th Ward deserves an independent voice at City Hall, one that puts residents first. I will be accessible, responsive, and visible in our community because effective representation starts with showing up and staying connected.
Most importantly, I won't just be your Alder, I'm your neighbor. I share the same streets, parks, businesses, and concerns. I will bring our voices to City Hall and fight for the priorities that matter most to the people who call the 48th Ward home.
