Troy believes in
Community Inclusion and Well-Being
A strong community is one where every resident feels welcome, respected, and supported. Troy believes the 48th Ward should be a place where people of all backgrounds, identities, ages, and circumstances can live with dignity, safety, and opportunity.
Troy stands with LGBTQ+ residents and families, supporting policies that protect against discrimination and ensure that everyone is treated with fairness and respect. Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths, and every resident should know they belong in our community.
Homelessness is a challenge requiring both compassion and action. Troy supports practical solutions that expand access to housing, supportive services, and community partnerships that help people regain stability while addressing the root causes that lead to housing insecurity.
Troy believes healthcare decisions should remain between individuals and their healthcare providers. She universally supports protecting access to reproductive healthcare and respecting the personal freedoms and choices of women and families.
Mental health is just as important as physical health. Troy will advocate for greater access to mental health resources, crisis intervention services, and community-based support programs so residents can get help when they need it.
By bringing people together, expanding access to essential services, and ensuring every resident is treated with dignity and respect, Troy will work to build a 48th Ward where everyone has the opportunity to bloom where they are planted and feel at home.
